NEW PROJECTS
Wholesale Feeds located at 6000 Linn Aire Ave. have submitted plans for an interior office remodel.
Linn Mar Schools has submitted plans to air condition the kitchen area of the Excelsior School located at 3555 10th Street.
ON-GOING BUILDING PROJECTS
Scott’s Refinishing has purchased the building at 560 10th Street and is remodeling the building for his furniture stripping business.
Involta Data Storage is constructing a new 18,000 square foot building at 5055 REC Drive.
Midwest Fastener’s has begun construction of a new office and warehouse located at 635 51st Street.
Casey’s Stores is expanding their store located at 2020 7th Avenue.
Marion Parks Department will begin construction of a concession/restroom facility at the ball diamonds by the Oak Ridge School on the Alburnett Road.
Marion Churches continues to construct a 40 unit senior housing project at 2175 Bison Court.
Zio Johno’s located at 755 7th Avenue is adding a storeroom and outdoor patio.
Construction has begun on 2 new retail spaces to be constructed adjacent to the existing Subway and a new space for Papa Murphy’s located 2240 7th Avenue.
Construction continues on the new Linn Mar elementary school to be located at 400 Artesian Road north of Marion just off Randolph Road.
COMPLETED PROJECTS
Menard’s has finished enclosing a portion of the garden sales area at 200 Menard Lane.
ORDINANCES & CODES
As of January 1, 2007, the City of Marion is operating under the 2006 International Building Code and the 2006 International Residential Code.As of January 1, 2007, the Marion Plumbing Code consists of the adoption of the 2006 International Code with local amendments.
As of January 1, 2007, the Marion Mechanical Code consists of the adoption of the 2006 International Mechanical Code with local amendments.
The 2005 Marion Electrical Code has been adopted with an effective date of July 1, 2005.
