The City Council of the City of Marion, Linn County, Iowa met in special session, Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall with Mayor Rehn presiding and the following council members present:  Sprague, Adamson, Lammers, Spinks, Pazour, and Glew.  Absent:  None.

Mayor Rehn opened the public hearing regarding FY 08-09 Budget.  City Manager Lon Pluckhahn presented the staff report.  No other comments, written or verbal, were received.  Mayor Rehn declared the public hearing closed.

Resolution No. 19798 approving FY 08-09 Budget was read by Lammers.  Moved by Lammers, seconded by Pazour to approve Res. No. 19798.  City Manager Lon Pluckhahn noted that he is recommending that the budget be amended to restore part time wages and benefits to the Arts and Environment budget and Recreation budget as outlined in his March 5^th memo.  Moved by Lammers, seconded by Pazour to amend the budget to restore the part time wages and benefits to the Arts and Environment budget and Recreation budget.  All in favor of amendment, motion carried.  All in favor of budget as amended, motion carried.

Mayor Rehn adjourned the meeting at 4:08 p.m.
