The City Council of the City of Marion, Linn County, Iowa met in special session, Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at 12:30 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall with Mayor Nieland presiding and the following council members present:  Cram, Wagner, Rehn, Lammers, Pazour, and Adamson.  Absent:  None.

The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Moved by Rehn, seconded by Pazour to receive and file correspondence from John Vernon, 4011 North 10^th Street, and Bill Humbert, 3765 Windemere Way, regarding the proposed landfill settlement.  All in favor, motion carried.

Resolution No. 18547 approving Settlement Agreement was read by Rehn.  Moved by Rehn, seconded by Lammers to approve Res. No. 18547.  City Manager Jeff Schott reviewed the settlement agreement.  Roll Call:  Yeas:  Lammers, Pazour, Adamson, Cram, Wagner, Rehn, and Nieland.  Nays:  None.  Motion carried.

Mayor Nieland adjourned the meeting at 1:00 p.m.
