The Marion Code of Ordinances requires that any ambulance service operating within the city limits of Marion hold a current and valid license for such ambulance service. In an effort to simplify the licensing process and eliminate duplicated efforts when obtaining an operating license in the metro area, the City of Marion can issue a reciprocal license of any ambulance service license issued by the City of Cedar Rapids. This would eliminate the need to begin a separate application process with the City of Marion and avoid any additional fees to you.
If you wish to do business in Marion AND Cedar Rapids, you will want to complete an application with the City of Cedar Rapids and provide the City Clerk’s Office the documents listed below to obtain a reciprocal license in Marion:
- Current ambulance service license granted by the City of Cedar Rapids
- Current certificate of insurance naming the City of Marion as additional insured
- Current list of Ambulance Attendants/Drivers with their Cedar Rapids License numbers and expiration dates
