About the Marion Firefighter's Association
The Marion Firefighter’s Association has been an active supporter and participant in the community for decades. An offshoot of the City of Marion’s Fire Department and a 501c3 non-profit agency, the Firefighter’s Association returns all of the monies that they collect through donations and fundraising back to the community. In the past five years alone, more than $42,000 has been collected and distributed in direct support of your local fire department and its public education programs.
The Fire Department Steak Fry held in March and the Swamp Fox Festival Parade held in September are the organization’s primary fund raisers and have been popular community events for years.
The Marion Firefighter’s Association does not participate in any phone solicitation activities – if you receive a call asking for a donation please make certain that you understand who your donation is actually going to and what portion of that donation will actually come back to the community.
If you wish to make a direct donation to the Marion Firefighter’s Association, it may be dropped off at Marion City Hall, either local fire station, or mailed to Fire Station #2 at 3933 Katz Drive, Marion, IA 52302.
