Adult 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

REGISTRATION FORM

Adults Ages 18+

Take yourself back to the playground days with this new 3 on 3 recreational basketball tournament. The tournament will either be a pool play format or a double elimination style tournament depending on the number of teams. There will be separate divisions for men, woman, and co-ed. Games will be officiated and be played in a half-court format. Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 2 games. There will be a captains meeting the week of May 8. Captains will be contacted and notified of the date, time and location. Minimum of 4 teams required (per division) to hold tournament.

Fee: $50.00 per team (Min3 players; Max5 players)

Adult Tennis Lessons (Multiple Sessions)

Adults Ages 18+

The Marion Parks and Recreation Department will once again be offering adult tennis lessons this summer as part of a cooperative partnership with the Westfield Tennis Club in Cedar Rapids. Classes are led by instructors that have been trained by highly qualified and certified tennis professionals. Minimum class size 2, maximum class size 10. Only rain dates will be made up.

Adult Bags League

Adults Ages 18+

Tailgating season is just around the corner! What better way to get ready than by taking part in this adult recreational bags league. Teams of two will compete in an 8 week season, concluding with an end of the season elimination tournament. Each night teams will compete in a minimum of one complete match (3 games to 21). Limited number of spots available.

Fee: $30.00 per team of two
Days/Dates: Thursdays, August 3September 21
Time(s): Matches begin at 6 p.m.

Battle of the Cities Kickball Tournament

Adults Ages 18+

Gather your best team of friends, family, and coworkers and challenge others as you take yourself back to recess with this exciting new coed tournament offered by the Marion and Hiawatha Parks and Recreation Departments. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of 2 games in this double elimination tournament. Teams will be randomly placed into a double elimination-style bracket. Games will take place at either Lowe Park baseball complex in Marion or Guthridge Park baseball diamonds in Hiawatha. Limited number of spots available. Minimum of 6 teams required to hold tournament.

Fee: $50.00 per team (Min-8 players; Max-20 players)

Sunrise Yoga2015 Yoga

Open To All Ages

Back by popular demand! Join the Marion Parks & Recreation Department, Marion Blue Zones Project®, and local fitness clubs/gyms for some FREE outdoor yoga this summer. Sunrise Yoga will be held each Saturday morning in June, July, and August outdoors at the beautiful Klopfenstein Amphitheater at Lowe Park. Participants should bring a yoga mat or towel for class. Each class will be led by an instructor from a different yoga studio and last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Fee: FREE, just show up ready to get your workout on

Whether you are looking for a new fitness class, are tired of doing the same old fitness routine, or just want to get started, this is the class for you! The best part of all, it is absolutely FREE. Join the Marion Parks & Recreation Department and Marion Blue Zones Project® for this FREE fitness series held outdoor at the Klopfenstein Amphitheater at Lowe Park. Each week, for 4 weeks, a different fitness routine will be demonstrated. Find a routine or class that suits your needs and get more active today! Complete schedule of classes to be released during late summer 2017.

Fall Bags Tournament (Swamp Fox Festival)

Teams of two will compete in a double elimination tournament as part of the City’s annual Swamp Fox Festival celebration. Tournament will take place following the Swamp Fox Festival Parade. Limited number of spots available, so don’t wait to register, sign up today! Minimum of 6 teams required to hold tournament.
