Police Department

• Police Officer - Application Deadline:  May 30, 2008

Starting salary $36,512.00 /yr plus excellent benefits. High school diploma/GED required; AA degree preferred.

Applicants must pass written and physical fitness tests as required by the Code of Iowa.

Applications available April 14th, 2008 at City Hall, 1225 6th Avenue.

Deadline for submitting the completed application is May 30th, 2008.

Public Service Department

• Permanent Part Time Administrative Secretary

25 to 30 hours per week with the ability to work a full 40 hour week to cover vacations.  Work involves answering phones, greeting the public, basic computer skills, typing and filing.  This is a support position and attendance is of upmost importance.  Applications are available at 195 35th Street in Marion between 7:00 and 4:00 and will be accepted until 4:00 pm on May 16th.  We ask no phone calls please.
