Volunteer Opportunities

The Marion Public Library welcomes volunteers!

Opportunities include:

  • shelving books and materials
  • shelf-reading
  • checking materials in
  • sorting and putting books in order for shelvers
  • mending
  • preparing materials for circulation

Many of our volunteers come on a regular schedule every week; others prefer to be called for special projects that may involve a time commitment only a few times a year instead of weekly.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please either fill out the online form below, ask at the circulation desk or call 377-3412 and staff will refer you to the volunteer coordinator. You are asked to fill out an application listing your interests and your abilities so that staff match your existing needs.
