Definition of a Family:       For the purpose of purchasing a family pool pass, a family is defined as two adults residing at the same address.  This would also include all immediate children that are also residing at this same address.  This could include children of divorced parents who have joint custody, step-children and foster children.  A baby-sitter may also be added to your family pass for an additional fee of $50.00.  A baby-sitter is defined as a responsible young adult that will bring your children to the pool and supervise them in your absence.  This person must be noted on your family pass form.

PASS PURCHASES
Passes can be purchased at the Marion Parks and Recreation Office, 4500 N Tenth Street, during regular business hours, 8:00-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.  They will also be available at Swim Lesson Registration on Saturday, April 12, 2008.  They will also be available at the swimming pool starting May 31.

ADULT LAP SWIM
We offer adult lap Swim Monday-Sunday, 11:15-12:15pm and then 4:30-8:00pm.  The later time period will not start until June 16 due to night lessons the first two weeks.

DOLLAR DAYS
Pay only $1.00 per person on these dollar days:
June 22, July 20, and Aug 17

SUNDAY FAMILY NIGHT    $7.00    5:00-8:00pm
Every Sunday at the Marion Pool you can swim for $7.00 per family.  During this special time we do allow grandparents bring their grandchildren.  There is a maximum of two adults and 4 children under the age of 18.

SWIMMING POOL GENERAL INFORMATION
• Pool season May 31-August 24
• Youth 9 and younger MUST be supervised by a responsible person 15 years of age or older.
• Swim diapers will be required for anyone who is not toilet trained.  Regular diapers will not be allowed.
• There must be at least 20 swimmers in the pool, if the number drops below that the pool may close and NO REFUNDS. 
• If the weather is cool use your discretion as to whether on coming to the pool.  If we close early there are NO REFUNDS.

SWIM TEAM
The Marion Sharks swim team is open to youth 6-18 years of age.  Participants will have the opportunity to swim against other teams in surrounding communities.  All swimming abilities welcome, however, you must be able to swim 25 yards.  Season runs June—July.

SWIMMING APPEARL
Cut-off shorts, thongs, street clothes and sweat pants are prohibited in the pool, shirts may be worn over appropriate swimming attire.

POOL EQUIPMENT
Patrons may use inflatable toys in the training pool only, when the pool is not overcrowded.  The following items are prohibited: glass, cigarettes, street shoes, snorkels, & fins.

DEEP END RULES
In order to go off of the diving boards, swimmers MUST pass the deep end test which consists of swimming over and back in the shallow end of the main pool.  Deep end is for the diving boards only, no extra swimming in this area.

NO DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS
We currently only accept checks or cash for payment.
