The Marion Planning & Development Department online forms / applications are available pdf format.  The Planning Department requires pre-development meetings to occur prior to submittal of any application.  If you have any questions regarding these applications or wish to set an appointment for a pre-development meeting please feel free to contact David Hockett, Assistant Planning and Development Director at 319-743-6320. 

PLEASE NOTE:   All forms have been updated for 2008 a completed current application is required for submittal, old applications will not be accepted.

2008 Rezoning Application and Instructions

Request to rezone property must be received no later than 4:30PM on the second Monday of every month for the following months Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

2008 Comprehensive Plan & Future Land Use Amendment Instructions and Application (Application not available online)

Request to amend the comprehensive plan or future land use map must be received no later than 4:30PM on the second Monday of every month for the following months Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

2008 Plat of Survey Application

Plat of Survey Requests may be submitted at any time to the Planning and Development Department.  Please note the Plat of Survey's require City Council review and approval.

2008 Preliminary Plat Application and Submittal Checklist

Checklist must be submitted with every preliminary plat.  Requests to preliminary plat property must be recieved no later than 4:30 PM on the second Monday of every month for the following months Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

2008 Final Plat Application and Submittal Checklist

Checklist must be submitted with every final plat.  Requests to final plat property must be recieved no later than 4:30 PM on the second Monday of every month.

2008 Conditional Use Instructions & Application (Application not available online)

Request for a conditional use must be recieved no later than 4:30 PM on the second Monday of every month for the following months Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

2008 Variance Request Instructions & Application

Requests must by received no later than 4:30 PM on the last weekday of the month for the following months Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting.

2008 Annexation Instructions & Application

Requests for annexation may be received at anytime to the Planning and Development Department.  Additional information can be requested by staff to complete the application.

2008 Alley / Street Vacation Instructions & Application

Request for an alley or street vacation shall be recieved no later than 4:30 PM on the second Monday of every month for the following months Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
