MINUTES
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
APRIL 26, 2005

1. CALL TO ORDER.

Vice Chairman Mooney called the special meeting of the Marion Planning and Zoning Commission to order at 6:00 P.M.

2. ROLL CALL:

Members Present: Golden, Adamson, Mooney, Preussner, Techau, Neighbor.
Members Absent: Nesteby, Olson, Seidl.
Staff Present: Treharne.

3. ZONING CODE AMENDMENT -

a. CPC Resolution No. 05-12 recommending approval of an amendment to Section 176.44, EU – Exclusive Use District of the Marion Code of Ordinances regulating sanitary landfills.

Treharne presented the proposed amendments regarding the EU – Exclusive Use District.  He explained that many of these changes reflected submittal requirements required by the State regarding landfill siting.

Motion by Techau, seconded by Adamson to approve CPC Resolution No. 05-12 recommending approval of an amendment to Section 176.44, EU – Exclusive Use District of the Marion Code of Ordinances regulating sanitary landfills.

All “ayes” motion carried.

4. Discussion regarding Request for Proposal to consultants for Marion Zoning Ordinance update.

Treharne presented the proposed Request for Proposal regarding the Zoning Ordinance update.

5. ADJOURN.

There being no additional business to come before the Planning and Zoning Commission the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
