The drop off center is open two days per week for residents who pay Marion garbage fees only. Accepted are plastics (1-7), glass jars and bottles, cans, magazines, newspapers, cardboard, chipboard, white paper and junk mail.

Textiles are no longer accepted.

The recycling center is located at 195 35th Street, behind the Public Service Department building. A new entrance has been added which will allow citizens to avoid sharing space with the department's heavy equipment. The entrance is just south of the previous one. 

Hours are Tuesday from noon to 5:45 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Closing times listed are when the gates to the facility are shut. Residents are asked to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the closing time.
