Throughout the year Marion's City Council reviews and either approves or denies proposed ordinances. Once approved the ordinances become a part of the Municipal Code.

The entire code is updated electronically once each quarter. In the interim, any new ordinances will be available from this page.

Hold Harmless Agreement

Block Parties

Individuals desiring to hold a block party in the street are required to complete a Hold Harmless Agreement. The completed form should be submitted to the City Manager's Office (City Hall), 1100 8th Avenue.
This form is necessary so that emergency vehicles can plan for blocked streets. The block must provide the barricades for the party.

Marion Polling Places

Residents can register to vote at City Hall, 1225 6th Ave., or at the Linn County Auditor's Office in the Linn County Administration Office Building, 930 1st St. S.W. in Cedar Rapids.
Additional satellite offices are set up at various locations prior to elections. Voter registration cards will be mailed to you. The card will indicate where your polling place is located.

All Marion precincts are handicap accessible
