KICK START SOCCER 3 YEAR OLDS
It will help prepare them for organized soccer in a fun, non-competitive environment. The program teaches a variety of soccer skills; dribbling, kicking, passing, tapping, throw-ins and agility. This is mainly a program to introduce them to soccer and have fun.

Baseball, Softball & PeeWee Leagues 2008

All PeeWee Baseball and Softball participants will play at Lowe Park Ball Diamonds at least once if not more on a FRIDAY evening. If they play on a Friday they will then have that Saturday off. We are doing this due to our large number of participants. We hope this will help to have the games get over by 1:00pm on Saturdays, before it gets too hot.
This league is open to boys and girls ages 6-21 with special needs. A buddy is assigned to each player while the rules are very adaptable.
Volunteers and Buddies Needed!!

Financial Assistance
The Marion Parks and Recreation Department wants
to assure that everyone has the opportunity to participate
in our programs. Eligibility is based on the following:
you must be a Marion resident. You will need to bring
copies of your last pay stubs and previous year’s Federal
Income Tax Form. Assistance will be granted on the basis
of financial need. We also have a form in the office you
must complete. The process can take up to 5 days.
Insurance
The Marion Parks and Recreation Department does
not provide individual accident liability insurance.

YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE 4 on 4
Second—Sixth Grade
Our youth basketball league is open to boys and girls in 2nd—6th grades. We divide the players into two divisions: 2nd/3rd and 4th/5th/6th. This is an instructional league that will work on teaching the basic fundamentals of basketball. Practices begin in November with games starting in December. Coaches Needed.
BASKETBALL PRACTICES DURING THE WEEK AND GAMES ARE ON THE WEEKENDS.
