As part of their ongoing commitment to connect with residents, Marion City Council members continue to hold regular office hours.
Every Saturday one or more council members are available to interact with residents between 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Marion Public Library, 1095 6th Avenue.
During the summer months, City Council members will visit area farmers' markets on select Saturdays. The first Saturday of the month (May-August) you can find them at the Marion Farmers' Market at Taube Park between 9-10:30 a.m. The second Saturday of the month (June-August) they will be at the Uptown Marion Market in City Square Park from 9-10:30 a.m.
“Communication and community outreach are important,” said Mayor Nicolas AbouAssaly. “We want to meet people where they are and invite residents to share ideas and ask questions of their elected officials.”
