Marion mayor to outline 2017 trends at annual luncheon
Marion Mayor Nick AbouAssaly will review the city's accomplishments of the past year and look at the trends in 2017 and beyond at the 23rd annual Marion State of the City luncheon from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 26. at the Cedar Rapids Marriott,1200 Collins Road NE.
Members of the audience are encouraged to ask the mayor questions immediately following the speech. The event is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Linn County and the city of Marion with support from Marion businesses.
Reservations for the luncheon are $35 per person and $280 for a table for eight and may be made by contacting

Funds raised by the Marion State of the City event are used to help the League cover the cost of nonpartisan voter-education materials and forums. Limited free seating, on a reservation basis, will be available to allow individuals to attend and observe the presentation only.
