Open enrollment is the annual opportunity for you to make changes to your benefits and add or drop eligible dependents from coverage. For City of Marion employees, this happens in the fall. Changes made at open enrollment are effective the following calendar year.

Review your current benefits by logging in to the eSuite HR Portal

Required Forms – every benefits eligible employee must fill out these forms and return them by Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 even if you are not making any changes.

Please do not email forms as they contain your social security number. You can also send via interoffice mail to Greg Hosier or turn in at City Hall.

IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR 2025

  • The deductible/out-of-pocket maximum for the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) increased to $3,300 for single coverage and $6,600 for family coverage. These amounts are determined by the IRS.
  • The seed money offer this year for employees who elect the HDHP (current and new) - $1,650 for single coverage and $3,300 for family coverage.
  • Over-the-counter drugs are no longer eligible to be processed through the medical plan. 
  • The HDHP was added as an additional health plan option for Fire union employees, along with the current Traditional PPO Plan.
  • The smoking rates were discontinued for Fire union employees. If you were on a smoking plan in 2024, you will switch to a non-smoking plan in 2025.
