Jurisdictions in Linn County have adopted FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM). The FIRM maps outline flood hazard information such as base flood elevations, base flood depths, special flood hazard area boundaries or the regulatory floodway.
City of Marion participates in the National Flood Insurance Program, which provides insurance to properties in or close to the floodplain. Such properties with federally insured loans may be required to have flood insurance, as determined by the lender.
