The Marion Fire Department is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of emergency response services to the residents of Marion and Marion Township. With integrity, a strong sense of duty, reliable response times and public safety awareness - the MFD can always be counted on to reduce loss of life and property in its community.

• MFD is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) non-transport department
• MFD is a combination department that employs 42 career and 10 paid-on-call staff
• Consists of three fire stations
• MFD has a 76 square-mile response area made up by the City of Marion and unincorporated Marion Township (through outside 28E agreements)
