The Marion Police Department is committed to partnering with our residents and businesses to proactively prevent and solve criminal activity. As such, the department has re-launched its surveillance camera registry. Registering outdoor security cameras in Marion allows the Police Department to build a database of known security camera locations.

Registering your camera will not provide direct access to your security camera video, but simply alerts the department to camera locations. When a crime occurs near a residence or business that has a registered camera, an investigator could contact the owner and ask permission to view their video in an attempt to identify the suspect or suspicious activity. Knowledge of camera locations in Marion will save investigators valuable time and could assist in solving crimes or missing person cases.
