Home MenuBird Friendly Iowa
A partnership between the City of Marion, Friends of Marion Parks and Iowa BIG has resulted in Marion being designated a Bird Friendly Iowa community. Marion is proud to contribute to the creation and preservation of wildlife and bird habitat in our community. Through this initiative, Marion is also increasing advocacy for more community involvement in urban bird conservation through education and engagement opportunities.
The Bird Friendly City designation is in addition to Marion’s Tree City USA designation, and will help to highlight the efforts that are already being made to provide increased native habitat for insects, birds, and other wildlife in the region.
