Light the Night - Holiday Lights Tour (Dec. 9-30)
Tis the season…for lights! We are in search of holiday light displays in Marion and need your help. Simply submit your home or a property you feel deserves recognition and we will compile a list for everyone to drive around and enjoy. This is a great family-friendly activity to enjoy during the holiday season. Submit addresses by Dec. 5.
Light the Night - Holiday Lights B-I-N-G-O (Dec. 9-30)
Join the fun and participate in the Light the Night Holiday Lights B-I-N-G-O! A great family-friendly activity to enjoy during the holiday season! Each bingo will equate to an entry into a drawing for prizes (max 5 bingos/entries per person on a single card).
The Great Candy Cane Hunt (Begins Dec. 9)
Get active and have a little fun searching for oversized candy canes hidden throughout Marion parks. Each candy cane contains an official “Great Candy Cane Hunt” tag along with a small prize from the department. Participants will need to bring their candy cane to Lowe Park for an additional prize. Be sure to post your finds on the Marion Parks and Recreation Department’s “The Great Candy Cane Hunt” Facebook event page. Hunt continues until all candy canes have been found. ONE candy cane prize per person. If you find more than one candy cane please leave for others to find.

The Marion Welcome Center has opened inside the Marion Chamber and Uptown Marion Main Street Office at 1070 7th Avenue. The retail store offers fun Marion merchandise great for gift giving or sharing your Marion pride. The selection includes greeting cards, postcards, kitchen items, apparel, Christmas items and more! The Welcome Center is part of a tourism initiative by the Marion Chamber and made possible by a grant from the Linn County Economic and Community Development fund and Marion's Hotel/Motel Grant program.
