The regulations make face masks mandatory in public places throughout Linn County, whenever six (6) feet of physical distance cannot be maintained. Linn County’s mask mandate applies to unincorporated areas and areas where municipalities have not taken action.

Earlier this week the Cedar Rapids Metro YMCA Association announced the official opening date of the new Marion YMCA location. The new building located at 3740 Irish Drive, will open on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021.

A contractor for the City is beginning to remove tree debris from Marion’s waterways. Maps have been created to break the waterways into sections and designate access points. For the next few weeks crews will be working on Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 as shown below.
