The stationary cameras are located at two high-traffic intersections, one is located at Highway 100 and East Post Road and the other is installed at Highway 13 and Highway 151. The cameras detect both speeding and red-light violations.

Earlier this year, the City of Marion filed a petition seeking the title to the vacant Owen Block building. Recently, Jamie and Kelsie Hoth have retained 100 percent ownership of the building and have been working closely with the City’s Building Inspection Division.

The City of Marion will be performing curbside collection of vegetative storm debris beginning Monday, July 31, 2023. Residents are asked to place tree limbs and branches between the sidewalk and the curb for collection.
