Marion to Implement Changes at Select Intersections along 6th Avenue to Address Visibility Concerns

In response to increased traffic on 6th Avenue and to improve visibility for crossing vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists, the City of Marion is implementing changes to parking spaces on 6th Avenue at the intersections of 12th and 13th Streets.

Marion to Host Iowa Certified Construction Site Pollution Prevention Inspector Training

The City of Marion is holding an Iowa Certified Construction Site Pollution Prevention Inspector (ICCSPPI) training session at the Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center on Dec. 8, 2022. Those that are certified are recognized statewide for their credentials to conduct pollution prevention inspections.

City Offices to Close in Observance of Thanksgiving Holiday

Garbage, recycling and yard waste will not be collected on Thanksgiving Day and pick-up will be delayed by a day for both Thursday and Friday routes. Saturday will be the final day for curbside yard waste collection in 2022.
